Giorgio

Giorgio Brero obtained his Master's Degree in Biomechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic of Turin after completing an abroad thesis experience at the Methodist Research Institute of Houston, Texas. His specialization concerns the design of microfluidic devices to cure cardiac arrhythmia using gold nanoshells and then tested on an in-vivo model. Before joining the Bioanalytics Group, Giorgio also worked as a research assistant at the EPFL on creating CMOS-based microelectrode for neurostimulation. At the moment Giorgio started his Ph.D. project in collaboration with the CSEM on the PHOREVER European Project, which involves creating a microfluidic device to isolate and analyze extra vesicles from patients' blood samples.
